The I AM Empowerment Brunch…..

Sometimes, the daily grind gets in the way of truly appreciating your purpose and path!  And, there’s nothing wrong with going against the grain!

Being honored at the I AM Empowerment Brunch was really emotional for me, because I saw friends that I have not seen in a long time.  I became friends with these women at a time when the women’s empowerment movement was in its infancy.

Not to mention, Denise Best, Danielle Moore and I reminisced about how we struggled to get to where we are and be recognized as “Veterans” in making it do what it do!

These beautiful, talented, strong women played a very important part in my healing process, and I am blessed to have met them!  I highly respect them because they chose their own path, instead of having their path dictated to them!

I congratulate each one of the honorees for being their “I AM” – Danielle, Dhylles, Sheneese, Glenise, Andrene, Danalee, Fatima, Mikki, Makeba!

Denise and Althema,  keep up the great work!

Join me in celebrating their “I AM” !
